Larry began barbering in 2016 and has become known for his precision, warmth, and ability to make every client feel at home. He is the day-to-day face of The Lion’s Mane, leading the team and delivering the high standards the shop is known for.

Elise started cutting hair in 2007 and now leads the operations, branding, community partnerships, and the systems that keep The Lion’s Mane running seamlessly. She plays a key role in team development, education and maintaining the elevated client experience the shop is recognized for. Her behind-the-scenes leadership is the foundation of The Lion’s Mane’s continued growth.

AKA The Flow Chopper The first barber to join our team. Sara has 13 years in the hair industry and 10 as a traditional barber. Sara excels in her scissor work and is the most experienced at long masculine cuts and short feminine cuts. Her fades and beards are also top notch.

Sara is passionate about courses to update her own skills and she is also a talented instructor herself. Stay tuned for future Flow Chopper X Lion’s Mane courses!

AKA the Russian barber. Alex is passionate about the straight blade. He is the master of beards, shaves and fades. A true classic barber. He has 8 years of barbering experience.

If you go through the Starbuck’s drive thru you will see him putting on a show in our window. Wave and if he sees you he will wave back!

Barber

Gen is the second most experienced barber in the shop behind Elise, with 15 years. Her specialties include classic cuts and she loves performing shaves.

Gen is a spectacularly efficient barber. She can execute a great haircut in half the time of the average barber, without compromising on quality.

Barber

Sammie has 7 years of barbering experience, and 9 in the industry. Her specialties are low tapered/classic flows, textured cuts, and mullets.

Sammie provides excellent consultations and will help find what's best for you. She works hard to create a safe space for all folks, including those new to the barbershop experience.

Barber

Jake has 5 years of barbering experience, he started through high school and has been in a barbershop environment for over 6 years where he’s developed skills that rival the most seasoned barbers. His attention to detail and drive for perfection shows in his work.

His favourite cuts are fades, from high skin fade to low tapers and anything in between. Any time you’re in Jake’s chair, you can talk about movies, music or anything else, or have a relaxing quiet time.

Moe is the newest addition to our team! With 9 years of experience he has come back to barbering full time after a little break from the industry.

His favourite haircut is, of course, a fade but he is equally proficient in lower styles and anything in between. He is very comfortable with a blade and gives a clean sharp look to his beard trims.

Braydan was recently promoted to Senior Barber!

Braydan began his journey at The Lion’s Mane Barbershop two years ago as an assistant and has worked hard to develop his skills and build his craft. After completing countless assessments, offering free cuts, and gaining hands on experience as a Junior Barber, he’s officially levelled up. As such he will be offering services at full rate as a Senior Barber.

Ali brings over 15 years of cutting experience to The Lion’s Mane. He is skilled in both modern and classic styles, with a special love for the new modern mullet and clean, traditional cuts. Whether you’re looking for something trendy or timeless, Ali will make sure you leave with a style that suits you perfectly.

Ali is known for his attention to detail and his ability to tailor each haircut to the client. With more than a decade and a half behind the chair, he brings confidence, precision, and creativity to every service.

Junior Barber

Brennan may be newer to the chair, but his talent is undeniable. With less than a year of cutting experience, he’s already showing the kind of precision and dedication that most barbers take years to master. At most shops, Brennan’s skills would already have him charging full price — but here at The Lion’s Mane, our standards are next-level.

That’s why Brennan is currently honing his craft as a Junior Barber, offering reduced rates while he trains under some of the best in the business. It won’t be long before he’s leveling up to our senior team — so book with him now while you still can.
