Straight Blades & Combs
Each station is stocked with fresh combs and a disinfected blade handle, ready before the start of each day.
After each client, used blades are set aside in a designated area for disinfection at the end of the shift.
Combs are immediately placed in Barbicide, then scrubbed and rinsed at the end of the shift.
At the end of the day, spent blades are disposed of in a sharps container, and handles are soaked in an OPH-approved bleach/water solution for at least 10 minutes before being dried and reloaded with a new blade.
Daily Sanitization Practices
Hand sanitizer is available throughout the shop.
Barbers sanitize or wash their hands before each client.
All tools are regularly sprayed with disinfectant, following OPH standards.
Stations and tools are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between clients.
Hot towels are heated using a UV light.
Face brushes are cleaned regularly.
Masks are optional for both barbers and guests—if you prefer your barber to wear a mask, just let them know.
Stations are spaced 6 feet apart for client comfort.
Shop Standards
We take pride in maintaining one of the cleanest barbershops in Ottawa. After each client, we take the time to clean our station and tools before the next appointment—no stepping over someone else’s hair to get into the chair.
• Workstations, including drawers, are vacuumed and disinfected regularly.
• The washroom is routinely cleaned and disinfected.
• We consistently exceed the hygiene standards set by Ottawa Public Health.
If you have any questions or concerns about our shop’s hygiene practices, feel free to reach out via email—we’re happy to provide more information.
